If you are currently considering liposuction the cost associated with it could be one of the most determining factors in whether you get it done or not. Cost is usually a very important factor in all of our decisions that we make, but should probably take a back seat to our own health in this case. Quality should also be a critical factor in determining which physician you should select.
Not all doctors are created equal. Some physicians are better than other physicians. This is the plain and simple truth about it. Some are blessed with natural talent, while others are just in it for the money. Steering clear of lower quality physicians might be financially costly but the cost of selecting a physician that could possibly damage your body would be an even more expensive selection.
Do not choose your physician based solely on the liposuction costs. The expense of having potential side effects or undergoing the procedure once again could be even more expensive, not to mention the possibility of bodily harm.
Lipoplasty Cost Factors
There are many factors that are considered when determining costs. How big the patient is plays a big part, the cost of the operating room and anesthesiologist’s services also play a role as well as the overall popularity of the presiding physician.
Average Liposuction Costs
A patient with an average size and build related to their gender can usually expect to pay about three to eight thousand dollars to remove the excess from your abdomen. The cost for liposuction on the hips or waist range from two thousand dollars to five thousand dollars. The average cost associated with removing the excess from the outer thighs can run from two thousand to five thousand dollars.
Global Fee
Some surgeons who are blessed with their own operating facilities can charge a global fee. This fee is usually a lump sum charge to take care of the entire surgery. It usually includes all of the fees necessary to conduct that operation.
Liposuction Quotes
It is important to identify all of the costs associated with your procedure when requesting a quote. If you don’t find out before hand you may find that you may have to pay for additional fees such as operating room fees, anesthesiologists’ fees etc. These items could add up to a great deal more than just the surgery fee.
Make sure that you get everything in writing. Get the quote written down with everything that is included. You would not want to have the procedure done only to find out that you were charged many additional fees that you were unaware of before hand.
Ultrasonic Liposuction In Manhattan

Ultrasonic liposuction in Manhattan has been around for a while. In fact, the first ultrasonic liposuction patents were awarded in 1987. This method of liposuction can be done with the traditional, wet, or possible tumescent methods.
If you want to know what ultrasonic means it is high-pitched sound.
There are two different forms of ultrsonic liposuction; they are internal and external. As shown in the words, internal using the vibrating cannula; the external is done with a machine that vibrates on the outside of the skin just before procedure begins.
The idea of the ultrasound device is to to loosen the fat, to make it easier to be sucked out at a much faster rate than other procedures.
The equipment can be very expensive upwards of $40,000, so you know some of that cost is going to be passed on to the patient, especially in the expensive city of Manhattan.
From what the surgeons and the manufacturer say, the only risk unfortunately is death. I know that can sound a bit intense, but the chance of it happening with a board certified plastic surgeon is slim.
Manhattan Liposuction For Men

If you live in Manhattan, liposuction for men might be a hot topic. With the fast pace of the big city, and the bad eating of the majority of males in that city, it’s no wonder men are looking into liposuction to get rid of unwanted fat. Just to survive in Manhattan with the high cost of living, leaves no time for exercise or smart nutrition.
The areas that men are interested in liposucking is the “love handles”, stomach and even the chest area. When men gain weight, the first spot is the stomach (known as the “beer gut”), then it is the sides. Often with dieting and exercise, fat still remains in these unwanted areas, so liposuction is a viable option.
One thing to remember is that liposuction is not a long-term solution. If you maintain the same lifestyle, you will gain the fat back and have to have future liposuctions to keep it off. This can get very expensive and add to your already high cost of living in a city like Manhattan.
Another consideration is if you are greatly over weight. Liposuction may not be for you if you are over 100 pounds too heavy. At this point gastric bypass might be your only option. Don’t forget the risks of liposuction. It is a surgery, and with any surgery you may have complications.
The worst situation is even death. Which has occurred many times from liposuction. The most recent one was Kanye West’s mother. She went through an 8 hour procedure, was sent home by her plastic surgeon and died.
